The carmaker has rolled out the 25,000th unit of the Mahindra XUV300 at its Nasik facility.

Mahindra XUV300 subcompact SUV has hit a new production milestone with 25,000 units churned out. The home-grown carmaker has rolled out the 25,000th unit of the SUV at its Nasik facility, Maharashtra. Launched in February 2019, the Mahindra XUV300 has been made available in four trims – W4, W6, W8 and W8 (O).

The subcompact SUV from the home-grown carmaker received 13,000 booking within first month of its arrival in the market, followed by over 26,000 bookings in May, 2019. The XUV300 comes with both petrol (1.2L) and diesel (1.5) diesel engines, paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox. While the gasoline unit is good for 115bhp with 300Nm, the oil burner delivers 110bhp with 200Nm.

The carmaker will soon add an automatic-diesel variant to the SUV model lineup. Unofficial bookings for the Mahindra XUV300 AMT have already been commenced at select dealerships. The new automatic version is likely to receive Magnetti Marelli-sourced AMT transmission and is expected to cost Rs 50,000 more than manual-diesel model.

Recently, Mahindra Adventure has showcased the rally-spec Mahindra XUV300 in Coimbatore. The new rally-spec version of the subcompact SUV has replaced the Super XUV500 at the 2019 Indian National Rally Championship. The carmaker has remapped its engine with bigger turbocharger, exhaust system and a calibrated intake. The SUV also gets new alloys, new steering wheel and bucket rally seats along with a new paint scheme.
