Maruti Suzuki Baleno Achieves Fastest 6 Lakh Sales Mark In The Industry
In the premium hatchback segment, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno holds over 27 percent market share.
Maruti Suzuki India today announced that the Baleno crossed the 6 lakh sales mark in just 44 months since its launch in 2015. This is the fastest sales number achieved by any vehicle in the Indian automobile industry. In the premium hatchback segment, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno holds over 27 percent market share and registered a 11.5 percent growth in fiscal year 2018-19.
Commenting on the milestone, Shashank Srivastava, Executive Director,Marketing and Sales, Maruti Suzuki India Limited said, “The milestone of 6 Lakh unit cumulative sales in a record time of just 44 months clearly reflects Baleno’s popularity. Just so you know, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno received its first mid-life update in January 2019. It’s also the first car from the Indo-Japanese carmaker to receive BS6-ready engine. The company introduced the two variants of the Baleno Dualjet mild-hybrid in April, 2019. While the Zeta is made available at Rs 7.25 lakh, the feature-loaded Zeta costs Rs 7.86 lakh.
Prices of the Baleno petrol start from Rs 5.58 lakh (Sigma) and go up to Rs 8.90 lakh (Alpha Automatic). The diesel variants, on the other hand, are available in the price range of Rs 6.73 lakh (Sigma) – Rs 8.73 lakh (Alpha). All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.
