Swift hatchback has always been known for its high fuel efficiency. However, the new model gets more fuel efficient and is currently offers the best mileage in its category. While the petrol offers an ARAI certified mileage of 22kmpl, the oil burner returns 28.4kmpl.

The Swift is now available in manual and automatic transmission options with both petrol and diesel engines. The vehicle gets a 5-speed automated manual transmission, which is cheaper than the conventional torque convertors and CVTs.
