To be launched in the South American markets first, the new Toyota Fortuner Diamond Edition gets subtle design upgrades and premium cabin

Japanese automaker, Toyota has unveiled a new top-spec Fortuner Diamond Edition. This special edition will be initially launched in the South American markets.

The Toyota Fortuner Diamond Edition is based on the top-spec SW4 variant, which is available in the global markets like Argentina. The vehicle gets several design changes to exterior and interior as well. The new model offers unique details in the exterior look and cabin with new coatings and logos. The exterior of the SUV gets a darkened chrome treatment on grille, while the bumper comes fitted with faux-brushed aluminium-finished skid plate. Toyota Fortuner Diamond Side

Inside the cabin, the SUV gets new brown leather seats and artificial bronze treatment on the center console. It is also equipped with a new 10-speaker JBL sourced sound system. Adding to it, the vehicle gets a uniquely styled finished in white and gold key fob. Toyota Fortuner Diamond Interior

The India-spec Fortuner is available with two engine options – 160bhp, 2.7-litre petrol and 177bhp, 2.8-litre diesel. The SUV directly rival the Ford Endeavour, Skoda Kodiaq and the Isuzu MU-X. It is early to comment whether Toyota will bring this Fortuner Diamond Edition in India. The company could introduce this model on later stage.
