The India-bound Mitsubishi Outlander will soon be spawned in the domestic market. Ahead of the launch, more details have emerged about the SUV. If reports are to be believed, Mitsubishi will use a 2.4-litre engine tuned to make 165bhp against 222Nm. It will come paired to a CVT with 6 predefined slots and will take 11.1 seconds to propel from 0 to 100km/h. The CVT will additionally come with a sports mode and paddle shifters.
In tandem with Mitsubishi cars, the India-bound Outlander will be armed with off-roading features such as electronically controlled 4WD system to handle all types of terrains and an Active Stability Control. Also Read – New Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Is Coming To India
On the outside, Outlander will sport LED fog lamps and LED headlamps with the segment first active highbeam which automatically dims the highbeam. To bring it on par with new-age models, Mitsubishi will add a sunroof to the SUV, a first for Mitsubishi cars in India. The well-laid out 7-seat cabin will pack in a host of tech including a dual zone climate control, a Rockford Fosgate sound system with a 6.1-inch screen, a 710W 8-channel system and high-power amplifier. Other bits such as rain sensing wipers, hill start assist, leather upholstery, E-brake with auto hold option and key-less go system will also be offered on the new Outlander. The company will also launch new Pajero Sport in India by summer 2018. Likely to be based on the Triton light pick-up truck, the SUV will receive new elements like the bold ‘Dynamic Shield’ grille, high-set square like bonnet, bi-LED projector headlamps etc. Insides will be plusher with styling updates, a large touchscreen with connectivity options and other features. Power on the new Pajero Sport will come from the 2.4-litre MIVEC, four-cylinder, turbo-diesel engine mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
