Volvo XC40 T4 R-Design Petrol Variant Launched at Rs 39.9 Lakh
Volvo Cars India today launched the Volvo XC40 T4 R-Design petrol variant at Rs 39.9 lakh (ex-showroom, India). At this price point, the new petrol variant of the compact SUV will put up against the BMW X1, Audi Q3 (30TSI), Mercedes-Benz GLA and Mini Countryman (Cooper S). Currently, the 2.0L Momentum and Inscription diesel variants are available at Rs 39.9 lakh and Rs 43.9 lakh respectively.
For power, the Volvo XC40 T4 R-Design petrol gets a BS6-compliant, 2.0L, 4-cylinder turbocharged engine paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The gasoline unit delivers a peak power of 190bhp and a peak torque of 300Nm. While the diesel version comes with AWD (all-wheel-drive), the petrol variant gets a FWD (front-wheel-drive) system.
Based on the Compact Modular Architecture (CMA), the Volvo XC40 T4 R-Design petrol offers radar-based active safety features, 7 airbags, adaptive cruise control, driver alerts, roll stability control, run-off road protection and on-coming lane mitigation.
The new Volvo XC40 petrol is packed with all the comfort and connectivity features offered in the R-Design trim including a panoramic sunroof, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay enabled 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, dual-zone climate control, a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, a 14-speaker Harmon Kardon audio system, front and rear park assist pilot and a power tailgate.
