Kia India will update its existing model lineup this year that includes the Sonet, Seltos, Carens and Carnival. Here’re expected launch timeline and details of the upcoming Kia cars.

Kia Seltos
The updated Kia Seltos was recently launched in the US market in 5 trims – LX, S, X-Line, Ex and SX. Significant changes have been made to its exterior. The SUV gets a new grille with integrated LED DLRs, LED projector headlamps and tweaked bumper with slimmer air-dam and a faux skid plate at the front end. It has newly-designed alloy wheels, updated rear bumper and new connected LED taillamps. The Seltos will become the first car in its segment to come with the dual exhaust tips. Inside, the new 2023 Kia Seltos facelift is likely to have a panoramic sunroof similar to the US-spec model. The new infotainment system and ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) will also be on-board. Here, the SUV’s updated version is likely to be offered with the existing – 113bhp, 1.5L NA petrol, a 114bhp, 1.5L turbo diesel and a 158bhp, 1.5L turbo petrol engines will be on offer. Kia Sonet
Media reports suggest that the 2023 Kia Sonet will come towards the end of this year. The latest spy images reveal that the updated version will feature a newly-designed grille in piano black finish, revised bumper, bigger fog lamp assembly and sharply designed headlamps. This time around, it might receive different body cladding and side doors. It might come with a flatter tailgate and tweaked L-shaped. While interior layout and features will be carried forward from the exiting model, it’s likely to get new interior theme and upholstery. For power, the Sonet facelift will use the same 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol, 1.0L tubo petrol and 1.5L diesel engines. More details here…
Kia Carens
The 2023 Kia Carens will hit showrooms after the updated Seltos, possibly near around this year’s festive season. Interior of the MPV could be revised with new theme and seat upholstery along with a new touchscreen infotainment system and updated instrument cluster. If reports are to be believed, the new Carens might also get Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). The carmaker is expected to offer a panoramic sunroof as well. Under the hood, the Carens facelift will continue to feature the 1.5L turbo petrol and 1.5L diesel engines that power the existing model. There will be the same three gearboxes on offer – a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed iMT and a 7-speed DCT automatic. More details here…
Kia KA4
Kia KA4, which made its India at the 2023 Auto Expo, is essentially the fourth-generation Carnival premium MPV. It’s surely one of the much-awaited upcoming Kia cars. The model is likely to go on sale towards the end of 2023. The new Carnival underpins the new-generation N3 platform, sourced from the global-spec Sorento SUV. While globally it comes with multiple powertrains, here it will get a turbo diesel motor making 199bhp and 440Nm. The new oil burner unit is 20kg lighter than the previous motor, thanks to its aluminium block. Noticeable changes have been made to its exterior.
