TVS Raider Single Seat Variant Price Rs 93,719

TVS Motor Company has added a single-seat variant to its Raider 125cc commuter bike lineup that costs Rs 93,719 (ex-showroom). It’s the new base variant as the company discontinued its drum version that was available at Rs 86,803. The new TVS Raider single seat variant comes in a single Striking Red colour scheme. Now, the bike model lineup can be had in three variants – Single Seat, Split Seat (Rs 94,719) and SX (Rs 1,00,820). All aforementioned prices are ex-showroom.

In terms of features, the new TVS Raider single seat variant offers a reverse LCD screen. You will get the SmartXonnect with the segment-first 5-inch TFT screen only with the top-end trim that costs Rs 1 lakh. No changes have been made to the bike. Similar to the other two variants, the new TVS Raider single seat version is powered by the 124.8cc, single-cylinder engine. The motor makes a peak power of 11.4bhp and 11.2Nm of torque. It has a 5-speed gearbox and two power modes – Power and Eco. The bike underpins the single-downtube frame and comes with a telescopic fork and a monoshock rear suspension. Braking power is sourced from a 240mm front disc and a 130mm rear drum brakes.

The Chennai-based two-wheeler maker is planning to expand its premium bike model lineup in fiscal year 2023-24. The company says that it will roll out the “latest generation products with cutting edge performance and technology”. Reports suggest that TVS Motor Company is working on two new bikes that will use the 312.2cc, single-cylinder reverse-inclined, liquid-cooled engine. The upcoming bikes will be based on the TVS Apache RR 310.

There will also be a new TVS adventure bike to challenge the Royal Enfield Himalayan. The two-wheeler maker plans to introduce the 600cc-750cc motorcycles and one of them could get a bigger capacity, twin-cylinder engine making 47bhp.
