The Korean automaker, Kia has launched the updated Seltos SUV in the US market. The SUV is also on sale in other international markets including South Korea and North America. The 2023 Kia Seltos facelift is introduced in 13 colour options and two powertrain options. It is offered in 5 trim levels – LX, S, X-Line, EX and SX.
The 2023 Kia Seltos comes with revised exterior and interior along with more features. The new model comes with a revised front fascia, featuring a newly styled grille with integrated LED daytime running lamps. The SUV has LED projector headlamps and revised bumper that accommodates a slimmer air-dam and a faux skid plate. It rides on a new set of alloy wheels.
At the back, the Kia Seltos facelift gets a new connected LED tail-lights and revised bumper. The 2023 Kia Seltos will be the first vehicle in its category to come with the dual exhaust tips. It will also have sequential turn indicators on the LED taillamps. Adding to it, the SUV comes with a revised tailgate with a large indentation for the license plate.
Inside the cabin, the Seltos facelift gets a new panoramic display that accommodates instrument console and a new infotainment screen. In terms of features, the SUV gets dual-zone automatic climate control, electronic parking brake, heated & ventilated front seats, wireless charger, electric tailgate, and others. The India-spec model is also likely to get a panoramic sunroof.
The new Kia Seltos facelift will receive an advanced driver assistance system. The ADAS suite offers features such as lane centering steering, lane departure warning, autonomous emergency braking, lane departure steering assist, forward collision avoidance system with pedestrian & cyclist detection, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams and others.
The US-spec model is available with two engine options – a 1.6-litre turbo petrol and a 2.0L petrol. While the former is good for 195bhp and 264.4Nm of torque, the 2.0L unit produces 146bhp and 179Nm of torque, and is mated to an IVT. The turbo unit is paired to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The turbo unit also comes with an AWD system as an optional. The India-spec model will be offered in 3 engine options – a 113bhp, 1.5L NA Petrol, a 114bhp, 1.5L Turbo Diesel and a 158bhp, 1.5L Turbo petrol.
