Land Rover has officially unveiled the highly anticipated new 2015 Discovery Sport. First unveiled as the Discovery Vision concept, the Discovery Sport design is inspired from the Range Rover Evoque.
The new Discovery Sport interiors look plain and features multi-functional steering wheel and 10-inch display with infotainment system.
The new Discovery rear profile features new tail lamps, silver skid guard, chrome bar and integrated spoiler.
The new Discovery Sport features a two-bar slender grille flanked by newly designed sleeker headlamps. The massive bumper features wide air dam and new LED Fog lights. This crossover also gets appealing C-pillar, laminated windshield, front fender vents, electrically adjustable outside rear view mirrors and front and rear skid guards. High end variants will also come equipped with features including xenon headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lamps.
The interior of the luxurious SUV is plain which complemented the rugged exterior looks. It features a multi-functional steering wheel, gloss black accents and metallic trim. There is an 8-inch touchscreen display with an advanced infotainment system. The second row is 60/40 split than can be reclined and slide rearward. The customers also get an optional third row seat which can be folded to form the floor. It is equipped with leather upholstery, separate zone automatic climate control and 10 speaker audio system.

Under the hood, the US models will get the turbocharged 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine that produces 240bhp of power and 339Nm of peak torque. Power is transmitted to all-wheel drive system via a nine-speed automatic transmission. On the other hand, the European model will be powered by a 2.2-litre SD4 turbodiesel engine that develops 190PS. It will be paired to either six-speed manual transmission or nine-speed automatic.
