Toyota Astra Motor has showcased a RHD Toyota C-HR hybrid at the ongoing 2017 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS). While there is yet no clarity on the launch plans of the model in Indonesia, reports suggest TAM has brought it to the event to evaluate response from the customers.

Known for its striking looks, the crossover is already available for sale in several international markets. On the outside, it sports key elements such as captivating LED headlamps with integrated daytime running lights and sequential turn signals along with LED fog lamps up front. It rides on the 18-inch machined-face alloy wheels and comes in optional dual-tone body colours. Other bits such as roof mounted spoiler and LED taillamps complete the exterior look. Power on the showcased RHD model comes from a hybrid powertrain which works in conjunction with a 2ZR-FXE 1.8L petrol unit, putting out 98bhp against 142Nm of torque. The 1Nm electric motor makes 72bhp of power along with 163Nm of torque. For transmitting power to front wheels, it uses a continuously variable transmission (CVT). One must note that it comes bereft of the AWD drivetrain.

In the international markets, the popular crossover comes with advanced in-cabin tech including an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 9-speaker JBL premium sound system, 4.2-inch multi-information display, ambient lighting and dual-zone automatic climate control.
