Suzuki Burgman Street Pearl Blue Colour Edition Launched

The Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer has introduced the Suzuki Burgman Street 125 scooter in a new Pearl Suzuki Median Blue No.2 colour scheme. Priced at Rs 79,700 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the automatic scooter is now available in total of five paint options – Pearl Mirage White, Metallic Matte Fibroin Gray, Metallic Matte Bordeaux Red and Metallic Matte Fibroin Gray along with the new Blue shade. The company says that they are “confident that this new colour will find appeal especially amongst the youth given the sporty look for enhanced road presence.”

No other changes have been made to the scooter. The Suzuki Burgman Street 125 continues to come with a BS6-compliant 124cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. The motor has SOHC (single overhead camshaft) set up along with the two valves and fuel injection technology. It delivers a claimed power of 8.7PS at 6750rpm and 10Nm of peak torque at 5500rpm.

Some of its key features include LED headlamps, front glove box, engine start and kill switch, a fully digital instrument cluster, windscreen, DC charging socket (standard), front disc brake and CBS (combined braking system). The scooter offers 21.5-litres under seat storage. It’s overall length, width and height stand at 1880mm, 715mm and 1140mm respectively. It has seat height of 780mm.

In other news, Suzuki Motor Company is working on a new Intruder 250cc cruiser motorcycle that recently leaked in its patent images. The leaked picture confirms that the bike’s exhaust system has single header pipe with a catalytic convertor. While its official details are yet to be revealed, it’s reported to come with the same BS6 249cc, single-cylinder engine borrowed from the Gixxer 250 and Gixxer SF 250.

The motor makes a top speed of 26.5PS against 22.2Nm of torque. Though, the bikemaker might calibrate engine for the new cruiser motorcycle. It’s likely to produce more torque and slightly less power. Transmission duties are likely to be performed by a 6-speed gearbox.
