Maruti Suzuki India is gearing up to launch the facelifted Alto K10 with automated manual transmission (AMT) in the country by early 2015. The clear pictures of the updated car have hit the web world, giving us some important details. Interestingly, the new Alto K10 looks identical to the Alto 800.
Gaadiwaadi managed to click the facelift Alto k10, which features a newly formulated grille flanked by large, sweptback headlamps. The front bumper and rear section too inspired from the Alto 800. Its wheel arches have been fitted to 13-inch wheels like the current model.
According to the website, the Alto K10 facelift will be offered in three trim levels- LXi, LXi+ and VXi. The base variant would feature air conditioning with heater and power steering as standard. Its mid-level variant sports wheel caps. The top-spec model gets all the standard features available in lower spec variants. Moreover, this variant also has wheel caps, body-coloured outside rear view mirrors and door handles, power windows, rear parcel tray, door protection moulding and central locking.
Under the bonnet is the same 1.0-litre 3-cylinder unit that churns out 68PS of power and 90Nm of torque. A five-speed manual gearbox will come as standard. A CNG option and AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) variants is likely to be offered as well.
