Royal Enfield at EICMA 2021 – What To Expect?

Royal Enfield EICMA 2021

The 78th edition of the EICMA (International Motorcycle and Accessories Exhibition) is scheduled to begin on 23 November 2021 in Milan, Italy. The 2021 show, however, appears to be smaller than in years past. Several two-wheeler manufacturers have decided to skip the Milan show including BMW, KTM and Ducati. We will witness some important product unveilings and launches from Piaggio Group, Triumph, Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda, Kawasaki, Royal Enfield and Zero Motorcycles. Here’s a brief on the upcoming new Royal Enfield bikes that might unveil at the EICMA 2021.

Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650

The RE Super Meteor 650 cruiser motorcycle might have its world premiere at the 2021 EICMA motor show. While there is no official word on its India launch timeline, the model is reported to hit roads in early 2022. It will be the most expensive RE bike in the country. That means, the Super Meteor 650 will sit above the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 in the company’s product lineup. Its design and styling could be inspired by the KX Concept. It will sit on longer wheelbase than the 650 twins and carry slightly different design elements. Engine, however, could be borrowed from its donor siblings.

Royal Enfield Hunter 350

Built on the brand’s new ‘J’ platform, the RE Hunter 350 will be the most affordable bike from the Chennai-based two-wheeler maker in India. While its platform is sourced from the new Classic and Meteor 350, the Hunter will have lighter body built and is likely to offer better performance at high speed. For power, it will use the same 349cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine making 20.2bhp and 27Nm. The bike might get a semi digital instrument cluster with analogue speedometer, forward-set footpegs, flatter handlebar and an upswept exhaust.

RE Scram 411 nameplate is likely to be used for the road-focused version of the Himalayan adventure motorcycle. Its platform, features and engine will be exactly similar to its adventure counterpart. Though, its motor could be calibrated to offer better refinement levels. The bike will feature a single-piece seat, Tripper navigation and a single pod instrument cluster. Compared to Himalayan, the RE Scram 411 will have slightly smaller front wheel along with new front indicators and headlamp with blacked out/brushed metal finish options. As mentioned above, the bike will come with the same 24.3bhp, 411cc, single-cylinder engine that does duty in the Himalayan.

RE Interceptor 650 Special Edition

In order to commemorate its 120th anniversary, the Chennai-based two-wheeler manufacturer will introduce a special edition of the RE Interceptor 650 at the EICMA 2021. Called Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 MCH Scrambler, the model has been customized by Moto Classic House last year. It was especially designed for RE Latvia dealership and only 10 units were manufactured. The special edition receives several cosmetic enhancements over the regular model, while its engine mechanism remains unchanged. It will have different body graphics, pinstripes and blacked out mechanicals.
