New Toyota Rush Leaked Online Ahead of Official Unveiling

Scheduled to be unveiled at the end of November, the new Toyota Rush compact SUV will come in two seating layout – 5 & 7

Toyota’s seven-seater SUV, Rush has been revealed through a set of leaked images days ahead of its official unveiling at the end of this month. The leaked images surfaced recently on the inter-web and give a peek into the styling of the SUV that seems inspired by the production version of Daihatsu FT Concept displayed in 2015. The Daihatsu Terios SUV is also expected to be revealed following the unveiling of new-gen Rush later this month. Interestingly, the Terios model is primarily a badge-engineered sibling of Rush and the two are likely to share styling cues, features as well as underpinnings. New Toyota Rush Images

Styling on the 2018 Toyota Rush will include use of elements such as LED head lamps and taillamps, power-folding mirrors with LED turn indicators, shark-fin antenna, a rear spoiler and 16-inch alloy wheels. Insides of the seven-seater SUV will pack in plethora of equipment, there will be a 360-degree reversing camera, smart-entry system, a 7.0-inch touchscreen system and standard air conditioner. Power source on the SUV will be a new dual VVT-i petrol engine that will replace the 1.5-litre, four-cylinder unit from the current model. In addition to the regular model, there could be a TRD Sport version as well (Toyota Racing Development) that will get 17-inch alloys and additional styling bits. The TRD version is however likely to come at a later stage. It is expected that more mechanical details will be revealed at the time of its official unveiling later this month.

Toyota Rush is currently sold in overseas markets including Indonesia and other South-East Asian countries. As for the India launch, there is yet no word on the same from the company.
