Korean automaker, Hyundai has revealed a new version of the refreshed Verna sedan currently on sale in the Russian market. Called the Solaris in Russia, the updated Verna looks different from the facelifted Verna introduced last year in the Chinese market.

In terms of styling, the 2020 Hyundai Verna gets new bumper with a wider air-inlet. The sedan gets triangular-shaped fog lamp inserts, which we have recently seen on the new Aura sedan. The grille is finished in black and is bigger in size compared to the Chinese-spec model. Also See – New Hyundai Creta 2020 Unveiled

The side profile remains the same, but it gets newly styled alloy wheels. At the back, the sedan gets revised bumper with new inserts and blackened treatment. Inside the cabin, the sedan looks largely identical to the outgoing model. However, it gets new seat upholstery. The India-spec Hyundai Verna facelift will get more features and chrome treatment than the Chinese-spec model.

It will receive all-digital instrument console, which will be offered on the new i20 hatchback and the second-gen Creta SUV. The sedan will have an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Adding to it, the Hyundai Verna facelift will receive the BlueLink connected car tech. It is the same unit that we have already seen on the Venue and the Elantra facelift.

The biggest change will be made under the bonnet. The India-spec 2020 Hyundai Verna facelift will receive the BS6 compliant 1.5-litre diesel and petrol engine options. A 6-speed manual gearbox driving the power to the front-wheels will come as standard. Other transmission options will include a 6-speed torque convertor automatic for diesel and a CVT unit for the petrol Verna. The diesel engine is capable of producing 115bhp of power and 250Nm of torque. The 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine dishes out 115bhp of power and 144Nm of torque.
