Hyundai Carlino
For people not in the know, Hyundai had showcased the Carlino SUV concept at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo. The company has confirmed that the sub-4 meter SUV will go on sale in the country in 2019. It will take on the likes of Tata Nexon, Maruti Vitara Brezza and Ford EcoSport. Hyundai has already started that the development of this SUV has been fast paced, and is set to be launched in the first half of 2019. While the concept was based on the i20 platform, the production-ready model is expected to use the Grand i10 platform. This compact SUV is powered by a new smaller capacity 1.0-litre T-GDi 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. This engine produces 118bhp of power and 171Nm of torque. Diesel model is likely to get a 1.4-litre U2 CRDi unit.
