Hyundai Kona
Korean automaker, Hyundai will officially enter into the electric car segment with its global SUV – Kona. This model was previewed to Indian audience at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo, but in a concept avatar. The Kona will be Hyundai’s first electric model in the Indian car market. Adding to it, Kona could be India’s first electric SUV as well. The model will be imported as a CKD unit, and then assembled at Hyundai’s plant in Tamil Nadu. It is equipped with a 140kW (204PS) electric motor with two different battery packs – 39.2 kWh and 64 kWh. While the former offers a driving range of 240km, the larger pack increases the range to 390km.
