New Honda Amaze Special Edition Launched With 5 New Updates

Honda Cars India has rolled out a special edition of its popular Amaze compact sedan to mark the beginning of the festive season. Based on the S grade, the new Honda Amaze special edition has been made available with both petrol and diesel engines and manual and CVT gearbox options. Read – 2 New Honda SUVs Coming Next Year

While the petrol manual variant has been priced at Rs 7.00 lakh, the petrol CVT model costs Rs 7.90 lakh. The special edition diesel manual and CVT automatic variants are available at Rs 8.30 lakh and Rs 9.10 lakh respectively. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.

2020 Honda Amaze Special Edition Features

On the exterior, the 2020 Honda Amaze special edition gets new body graphics giving it a distinctive look. The special edition logo and badging further mark a distinction to its portfolio. Inside, the limited edition of the compact sedan receives a Digipad 2.0 – 17.7cm touchscreen advanced display audio system along with newly-designed seat covers and ergonomically positioned sliding armrest. No changes have been made under the hood. The new Honda Amaze special edition come with the 1,199cc, 4-cylindder naturally aspirated petrol engine that’s good for 90bhp and 110Nm of torque. The diesel model uses the BS6-ompliant 1.5L, 4-cylinder turbo unit that features a diesel particulate filter and NSC (NOx Storage Catalyst).

The oil burner returns a claimed power of 100bhp and 200Nm of torque. Talking about the fuel efficiency, the Honda Amaze petrol delivers 18.6kmpl (MT) – 18.3kmpl (CVT) and diesel promises 23.8kmpl.

In other updates, the Japanese carmaker is evaluating the Honda HR-V SUV for the Indian market. Globally, the SUV will witness a generation change in May 2021. Design and styling of the new-generation model are likely to be inspired by Honda’s new e-concept SUV that recently broke cover at the Beijing International Automotive Exhibition in China. The SUV’s new model might come with features such as new Honda Connect system with smartphone link and AI interface and ‘omnidirectional ‘ASAS’.
