Toyota Urban Cruiser Deliveries To Begin By Dussehra

Toyota Urban Cruiser, the Vitara Brezza based subcompact SUV from the Japanese carmaker, went on sale in India last month. The model lineup comes in 3 petrol and 3 diesel variants spread across Mid, High and Premium trims. Prices of the manual variants start form Rs 8.40 lakh and go up to Rs 9.80 lakh. The automatic models can be had within the price range of Rs 9.80 lakh – Rs 11.30 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom).

The High and Premium trims are in great demand.  Buyers are opting automatic models and dual-tone shades over the manual and single-tone variants respectively. The Urban Cruiser’s standard feature kit includes LED projector headlamps, LED DRL and taillamps, 16-inch steel rims with wheel covers, dark brown fabric upholstery, power adjustable and foldable wing mirrors, 2-DIN audio system, automatic AC unit, keyless entry and go, tilt steering, rear defogger, manually dimming internal rear view mirror, hill hold assist (automatic only), dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors and Isofix child seat mounts.

The top-end trim comes with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, cruise control, rear armrest, driver seat height adjust, 60:40 split folding rear seats, leather wrapped steering, rear parking camera, auto dimming inside rear view mirror, front armrest, rear wiper-washer, rain sensing wipers, auto headlamps, LED fog lamps and 16-inch alloys. Similar to the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, the Toyota Urban Cruiser features the 1.5L, 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine. The motor has been tuned for generating power worth 105bhp and 138Nm of torque. Power is delivered to front wheels via either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed torque convertor automatic transmission. The automatic variants come with mild hybrid technology. While its manual version is claimed to deliver mileage of 17.03kmpl, the automatic model promises 18.76kmpl.
