New Honda Activa 6G to Launch on January 15
Honda Activa has been the bestselling scooter in India for long time. In order to further boost sales, Honda is all set to give another update to Activa. The company has officially revealed the launch date of the Activa 6G. Set to be launched on January 15, 2020, the new model will replace the outgoing Activa 5G.
The new Honda Activa 6G will see comprehensive design changes and mechanical upgrades. The biggest change will come in the form of BS6-compliant engine. It will be powered by the BS6 version of the tried & tested 109.19cc HET air-cooled engine that is capable of producing 7.96PS and 9Nm. It is expected that the scooter could receive the fuel injection technology along with the new idle stop system.
The new Honda Activa 6G is also expected to share some of the features with the BSVI Activa 125. It could also receive the Bluetooth smartphone connectivity features. It will provide an access to music, messages, calls and contacts stored in your mobile phone. The scooter is also likely to get new all-digital instrument console.
The upcoming Honda Activa 6G will be benefitted with newly designed LED headlamp along with the LED DRLs. It will receive new body graphics, re-styled front apron, chromed side body panels and new side turn indicators. The scooter will ride on 12-inch alloy wheels wrapped with tubeless tyres. The new Honda Activa 6G will receive front disc and rear drum brakes along with the standard CBS (Combi Braking System). It will receive the new telescopic front forks and monoshock rear suspension unit. The scooter’s new-generation model will be priced around Rs 5,000 to Rs 8,000 premium over the Activa 5G.
