Mercedes-Benz introduced the 2014 S-Class in the country in single S 500 petrol variant in January, 2014. The new S 350 CDI diesel variant is powered by a 3.0-litre V6 engine that churns out a maximum power output of 255bhp and a peak torque of 620Nm. This engine is paired to a 7G-Tronic Plus automatic gearbox that channeled the power to rear wheels of this saloon. It does 0-100kmph in mere 6.8 seconds, and catches a top speed of 248kmph.

The S-Class diesel has similar equipment levels that are accessible in the flagship product- S500; however, it lacks some features to achieve lower price. The vehicle comes with the Burmester sound system without 3D surround system. Instead of nappa leather seats, the saloon gets plain leather upholstery. It also lacks heated/cooled cup holders, centre armrest and tables in the rear bench. The S 350 CDI comes equipped with a 360-degree reversing camera.

On safety front, the Mercedes S-Class S 350 CDI gets advanced features including eight dual stage airbags, dynamic cornering system, anti-slip regulation, adaptive brake with hold function and many more.

Other features include:

18-inch 10-spoke light alloy wheels

LED daytime running lamps

Automatic dimming inside and outside mirrors

Panoramic sliding sunroof

Climatised seats

THERMOTRONIC luxury automatic climate control
