Maruti Vitara Brezza, Ignis Facelits to Debut at Auto Expo 2020
Maruti Suzuki is all set to make the upcoming 2020 Auto Expo a grand affair. The company is readying a wide range of new models along with upgraded versions of the existing cars. At the Auto Expo 2020, Maruti Suzuki will introduce the facelift versions of the Vitara Brezza and the Ignis.
The Ignis facelift have already been leaked on the Internet. The updated model comes with all-new front fascia, which seems heavily inspired from the S-Presso mini SUV. It comes with the S-Presso inspired toothed grille instead of the existing horizontal chrome slat unit. The hatchback also gets revised front bumper and fog lamp assembly. The rear profile looks refreshing thanks to the new faux skid plates and updated bumper with integrated reflectors.
Under the bonnet of the 2020 Maruti Ignis facelift is a BSVI compliant 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine that is capable of producing 83PS of power and 113Nm of torque. Transmission options are likely to include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT gearbox.
Coming to the Vitara Brezza facelift, the compact SUV will receive comprehensive design changes and upgraded cabin. It will receive all-new grille, revised headlamp design, new alloy wheels, updated tail-lights and new colour schemes. The SUV will also receive cruise control and factory-fitted sunroof.
The biggest change will be made the under the hood. The Maruti Vitara Brezza will receive the petrol engine option for the first time. It will be powered by a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine with dual-battery SHVS mild hybrid system. This engine is capable of producing 104bhp of power and 138Nm of torque. Transmission options will include a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed torque convertor automatic.
