Compared to the current generation, the new Swift will adopt a sharper design language, featuring a redesigned front grille, revised bumpers, new LED headlamps, fresh alloy wheels, and a revamped tailgate with inverted C-shaped LED taillamps. The existing C-pillar mounted door handles are likely to be replaced with conventional door handles. Read: Upcoming Maruti 7-Seater SUV and MPV Launch Timeline

With the generational shift, the Swift’s length will increase by 15mm, measuring 3860mm, while the overall width and height will trim down by 40mm and 30mm, respectively. Interior changes will draw inspiration from the new Maruti Fronx, including a flat-bottom steering wheel, a new dashboard design, a dual-tone (Black and Beige) interior theme, toggle switches for climate controls, and a new 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity.

Under the hood, the 2024 Maruti Swift will feature the all-new Z-Series 1.2L petrol engine, enhanced with mild hybrid technology. This setup is expected to deliver 82bhp of power and 108Nm of torque. Unlike the Japan-spec version that offers manual and CVT gearbox options, the Indian Swift will be available with manual and AMT transmissions. The hatchback’s new engine will offer both high performance and fuel efficiency.
