Maruti Suzuki India will launch the Swift facelift in India in November, 2014. Ahead of its official launch, important details about the car have been leaked on the web world. Bookings for the hatchback have already commenced at a token amount of Rs. 10,000.  The updated Swift is claimed to be more fuel efficient than the current model.

Under the bonnet, the Swift facelift would continue to be offered with the same 1.2-litre petrol and the tried & trusted 1.3-litre multi-jet diesel unit. Both engines have been tuned to increase the fuel efficiency, and now the Swift facelift would return around 10 per cent more mileage over the current unit. The petrol model will return an impressive mileage of 20.4kmpl while the oil burner delivers an excellent fuel economy 25.2kmpl.

The Swift facelift gets cosmetic makeovers to both exteriors and interiors. The vehicle gets restyled front fascia with slightly tweaked bumper with mildly restyled air dam, L-shaped silver accents and larger headlamps. There are two new exterior shades on offer as well- Solid Red and Violet.

The top-of-the line Swift would get several features such as keyless entry with push start/stop system, electrically adjustable and foldable outside rear view mirrors, new audio system with Bluetooth connectivity, reversing camera, automatic climate control, etc. On safety front, this hatchback has ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) with EBD (Electronic BrakeForce Distribution), and airbags for both driver and co-driver.
