Maruti Suzuki XL6 Completes 1 Year; Over 25,000 Units Sold

Maruti Suzuki XL6, the 6-seater MPV from the Indo-Japanese carmaker, has completed one successful year in the Indian market. The company has managed to sell over 25,000 units of the premium MPV via over 370 Nexa dealerships across the nation. With such impressive sales figures, the XL6 has helped Maruti Suzuki achieve over 50% market share in the MPV segment. At present, the Maruti XL6 comes in two trims – Zeta and Alpha – spread across 4 variants. The Zeta and Alpha automatic variants have been priced at Rs 10.94 lakh and Rs 11.51 lakh. While the Zeta manual is available at Rs 9.84 lakh, the Alpha manual costs Rs 11.51 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.

Powering the 6-seater MPV is a 1.5L naturally-aspirated petrol engine that does duty in the Ertiga and Ciaz sedan. The motor meets BS6 emission standards and offers a peak power of 105bhp with 138Nm of torque. The MPV model lineup can be had either with a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 4-speed torque converter automatic transmission. In terms of features, the Maruti Suzuki XL6 Zeta and Alpha trims are equipped with a 7.0-inch touchscreen SmartPlay Studio infotainment system supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, rear air-con vents, automatic climate control, keyless entry with push-button start/stop, height adjustable driver seat and cruise control. Features such as automatic headlamps and a rear parking camera are reserved for the top-end trim.

The standard safety kit includes dual front airbags, rear parking sensors, ABS with EBD, seat belt reminders and a speed warning system. The XL6 has been offered in 6 colour schemes – Auburn Red, Nexa Blue, Premium Silver, Brave Khaki, Arctic White and Magma Grey.
