Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to launch the much-awaited Swift facelift, which gets mild upgrades to both exteriors and interiors. The vehicle will get more features and offers improved fuel efficiency than the current model. Ahead of its official launch next month, the ex-showroom prices of the hatchback have been leaked on the web-world. According to GaadiWaadi, the base Swift is tagged at Rs. 4.42 lakh while the top-spec model cost Rs. 6.95 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). Bookings for the hatchback have already starts at a token amount of Rs. 10,000.

The upcoming Swift is reportedly Rs. 18,000 more than the current generation model. The mid-level variants see an increase of Rs. 22,000 while the top-end model cost Rs. 25,000 more than the outgoing variants. Under the bonnet are the same 1.2-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel engines. The company has also tuned the engines, which is now claimed to deliver around 10 per cent more fuel economy over previous model. Its gasoline version is claimed to deliver a mileage of 20.4kmpl, while the oil burner returns 25.2kmpl.
The Swift facelift gets restyled front fascia with slightly modified bumper that accommodates newly styled headlamps and fog lamps. It is equipped with features like reverse parking sensors, keyless entry with push start/stop button, electrically adjustable and foldable outside rear view mirrors, etc. The mid-level variants also get ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System).
