Maruti Suzuki Eeco Completes 10 Years; 7 Lakh Units Sold So Far

Maruti Suzuki Eeco has completed 10 successful years in the country. Within over a decade of its existence, the model crossed 7 lakh unit cumulative sales and enjoys 90% market share in the van segment. It has also been one of the top 10 highest selling vehicles in the country for the year 2019-20. The carmaker says that over 84% Maruti Eeco customers are pre-determined buyers and 66% Eeco owners feel it “comfortable for long drives” in comparison to other vans.

The Eeco has always been favoured for its practicality, spacious design and powerful performance. The Maruti Suzuki Eeco fulfils both business and personal requirements, given that more than 50% of its customers use it for both business and personal use. The van comes in a wide range of 12 variants including 5-seater, 7-seater, Cargo, and Ambulance.

BS6 Maruti Eeco

Under the hood, the Maruti Suzuki Eeco houses a 1.2L petrol BS6 engine that offers a claimed fuel efficiency of 16.11kmpl. The motor offers a peak power of 54kW at 6000rpm and 98Nm at 3000rpm of torque. Its CNG version delivers power worth 46kW at 6000rpm and 85Nm at 3000rpm of torque. The Maruti Eeco comes packed with safety features including driver airbag, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, driver and co-driver seat belt reminder, and high-speed alert system.
