Maruti S-Presso CNG Variant Showcased At Auto Expo 2020
Maruti Suzuki has previewed its showstopper – Futuro-e SUV-Coupe concept – at the Auto Expo 2020. Alongside, the carmaker has showcased the upcoming Maruti S-Cross petrol and Maruti S-Presso CNG variant.
Launched in September 2019, the Maruti S-Presso mini SUV has been doing really well for the carmaker. The carmaker will further expand its lineup with the new CNG model, which is likely to go on sale in coming months.
Powering the Maruti S-Presso CNG will be a BS6-compliant 1.0L K10B petrol engine with a CNG kit. The motor delivers power worth 59.14PS at 5,500rpm in CNG mode and 67.98PS in petrol mode. To be available across the four trims, the Maruti S-Presso CNG looks exactly similar to the petrol model. The range-topping VXi trim comes equipped with a 7.0-inch SmartPlay Studio infotainment system with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and voice recognition, steering mounted controls, rear parcel tray, parking brake warning, front seatbelt pre-tensioners and front passenger airbag.
Features such as driver airbag, ABS (anti-lock braking system), front seatbelt reminders, rear parking sensors, speed alert system, vehicle immobilizer, digital speedometer and 13-inch steel wheels are standard across the range.
