This new edition marks the end of production of the SUV’s current model and 70 years legacy of Mahindra. Only 700 units of this special edition will be sold across the nation. On the exterior, the Mahindra Thar 700 Edition gets sporty bits such as decals on the side and bonnet. The black finish on the front grille, silver finish on the front bumper and stylish 5-spoke alloy wheels add more to its sporty looks. Inside, the special edition features leatherette upholstery with Thar logo on the front seats. It also receives ABS (anti-lock braking system). Powering the Mahindra Thar 700 Edition is a 2.5L CRDe diesel engine that makes a top power of 105bhp at 3,800rpm and 247Nm of torque between 1,800rpm – 2,000rpm. Transmission on offer is a 5-speed manual unit.
