KTM 1050 Adventure India launch likely in 2015

With the growing demand for powerful motorcycles, bike manufacturers are aiming to expand their market share in India. If reports are to be believed, KTM is planning to launch the KTM 1050 Adventure motorcycle, showcased at the 2014 EICMA show in Milan, for the Indian market this year.

The KTM 1050 Adventure is propelled by a 1,050cc, 75-degree V-twin petrol motor that churns out a maximum power output of 95bhp and a peak torque of 75Nm. It offers three riding modes- Sport, Street and Rain. This engine is clubbed to a six-speed gearbox to put power on roads. The motorcycle weighs slightly over 200kg, which is pretty ok considering the powerful bike owners of the country. It comes with an 840+mm seat height, which offers comfortable riding experience.

The KTM 1050 Adventure is equipped with good amount of features such as LED daytime running lamps, WP suspension, Keihin engine management system, traction control, Anti-Lock Braking System, Slipper Clutch, Cast alloy wheel rims, adjustable handlebar, wrist guards, engine sump guard, 23-litre fuel tank, etc. It rides on 18-inch front alloys and 17-inch rear covered with 110/80/R18 front tyre and 150/70/R17 rear tyre, respectively.
