Hyundai Verna faceluft front

Hyundai India is gearing up for the launch of Verna facelift. If media reports are to be believed, the company will introduce the updated Verna on February 16, 2015; however, the company is yet to confirm the date. The new Verna will get changes to both styling and mechanics.

The updated Hyundai Verna facelift gets new front fascia with new grille, restyled headlamps that can accommodate projectors and newly styled fog lamps with LED strips surrounding them. At the back, the vehicle gets restyled tail lamps which come with integrated LEDs and bumper with new integrated reflectors. Its wheel arches have been fitted to newly designed alloys. Inside the cabin, the sedan is likely to get new touchscreen infotainment system and additional airbags.

The company is likely to make changes to its suspension mechanism, as the current model is heavily criticized for its handling and steering. The updated Verna likely to offer better driving experience and the steering is likely to be sourced from the Elite i20.  Under the bonnet are the same 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre petrol and 1.4-litre CRDi and 1.6-litre CRDi diesel engines. A six speed manual transmission would be offered as standard. It is expected that the automatic gearbox would be a six-speed gearbox instead of 4-speed.
