Honda Jazz Facelift Launch Likely This Month – Report

Likely to be launched in the second half of this month, the new Honda Jazz facelift will take on the likes of Hyundai i20 and Maruti Baleno

Japanese automaker, Honda will launch the new Civic and CR-V 7-seater SUV in India before the end of this financial year. It was reported that Honda is not planning to launch the facelifted Jazz hatchback in India, instead focusing on WR-V cross-hatchback. However, latest media report claims that the facelifted Jazz premium hatchback is expected to be launched in the second half of this month. The 2018 Honda Jazz will receive cosmetic design changes and features upgrade. In terms of styling updates, the Jazz facelift receives an all-new front bumper with larger air intake and re-profiled fog lamp housing. The grille is all-new, which is in-line with newer Honda models.

At the back, the car looks largely identical to the existing model. However, it now features slightly revised LED tail-lights. Side profile remains unchanged, except for the new set of alloy wheels. The new model will also get automatic headlamps. Inside the cabin, the new Jazz model will receive a new DIGIPAD infotainment system from City facelift. This system is compatible with SmartPhone connectivity and SAT NAV. Read – Upcoming Honda Cars In India

Mechanically, the Jazz facelift will remain unchanged. The petrol version is powered by a 1.2-litre i-VTEC engine producing 89bhp and 110Nm of torque. On the other hand, the oil burner is a fuel efficient 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine that is good for 99bhp and 200Nm of torque. The updated Jazz will rival the likes of Hyundai i20, Maruti Baleno and others in its category.
