Jawa Anniversary Edition Coming Soon; Only 90 Units Will Be Sold
In November 2018, Jawa Motorcycles had marked its entry in the Indian market with two all-new models – Jawa and Jawa 42. The bikemaker also showcased a factory-custom bobber – Jawa Perak. Now, the company is close to complete one year in the country and to commemorate the occasion it will roll out a new Jawa Anniversary Edition.
For people not in the know, the Czech bikemaker – Jawa – had introduced its first model back in October 1929. The new Jawa limited edition will also celebrate the 90th anniversary of the company. One must note that only 90 units of the Jawa Anniversary Edition will be sold across the nation.
The bikemaker has confirmed that the Jawa Anniversary Edition will be available for immediate delivery to customers who have already pre-booked a Jawa bike or make one before 22nd October. Price of the new Jawa limited edition will be slightly higher than the regular single-channel ABS and dual-channel models that cost Rs 1.64 lakh and Rs 1.73 lakh respectively. The Jawa Anniversary Edition will feature special 90th-anniversary badge on the fuel tank covered in pinstripes along with black seat cover. The limited edition will be painted in a special classic colour that will resemble to the original 1929 Jawa 500 OHV motorcycle’s colour scheme.
Similar to the regular model, the Jawa Anniversary Edition will use the 293cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine generating power worth 26bhp and 28Nm of torque. It will be matched to a 6-speed gearbox. For carrying out suspension duties, the bike will have telescopic forks upfront and dual shocks at the rear. There is no clarity whether the Anniversary Edition will be offered with the single-channel ABS or dual-channel ABS.
