The Korean automaker is currently evaluating the Palisade for India. The company will have to make decision on what route this SUV could be introduced in our market. The CBU unit will be expensive for the Indian market, while local development will require massive investment.

The Hyundai Palisade SUV for the right-hand-drive markets is likely to be introduced by the end of this year. The SUV will be launched in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. The Korean automaker could also utilise the Government’s relaxation on importing 2,500 cars without going through local homologation. Hyundai could introduce the Palisade SUV as a CBU model using the relaxed homologation norms.
