Hyundai India has added a new LPG variant in its Grand i10 hatchback lineup. This model is only available with single ‘Magna’ variant ans is priced at Rs. 4.96 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). With this, the company has re-introduced the 1.0-litre Kappa petrol engine which also powers the i10 hatchback.
Under the hood, it gets the 1.0-litre three-cylinder engine that churns out a maximum power output of 68bhp and a peak torque of 94Nm at 3500rpm. Power is transmitted to front wheels of the hatchback via a five-speed manual transmission gearbox. The car delivers an impressive fuel economy of 20.3kmpl (ARAI Certified).
Launched in September last year, the Grand i10 hatchback is positioned between the i20 and the i10. The Grand i10 hatchback is equipped with various segment first features including a 2-DIN audio system with 1GB internal memory, smart key, push button start/stop, rear AC vents, steering mounted audio controls, rear parking sensors, Bluetooth and others.
Other than the LPG model, the vehicle is offered in both petrol and diesel fuel options. It is powered by a 1.2-litre Kappa engine that churns out a maximum power output of 81bhp and 116Nm of peak torque. On the other hand, the oil burner gets the 1.1-litre three-cylinder U2 CRDi engine that develops a top power output of 69bhp and a maximum torque of 163Nm.
