There’s no denying that the upcoming Hyundai Creta is the most-awaited vehicles of the year, an there is a huge interest among buyers for this vehicle. Set to launch on July 21, 2015, the vehicle will take on the likes of Renault Duster, Nissan Terrano and the soon-to-be-launched Maruti Suzuki S-Cross. Now that the launch is just a month away, we have the official pictures of the car that reveal its design philosophy.
The vehicle is based on Hyundai’s Fluidic 2.0 Design Philosophy on which Elite i20 and Santa Fe too are based. Though the Hyundai Creta is based on the Elite i20 platform, it looks like a mini Santa Fe with largely identical front fascia. With aggressive bumper silver skid plates, chorme grille, Santa Fe-inspired headlamps with silver inserts and integrated LED daytime running lamps, the vehicle’s front looks very sporty.
The side profile too looks muscular with forward leading stance and sporty wheel arches. Other interesting elements on sides are 16/17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, prominent character lines and body-coloured outside rear-view mirrors (ORVMs) with blinkers.
Coming to the rear profile, the Hyundai Creta features newly-designed tail-lamps, silver skid plate and roof mounted spoiler. The roof rails further accentuate the vehicle’s sporty look.
As mentioned earlier, the vehicle’s exteriors resemble the Santa Fe, but it will have an interior similar to the Elite i20. The Hyundai Creta will feature the same touch-screen infotainment system, automatic climate control, three-spoke steering wheel with phone and audio controls, leather upholstery (on top variant), rear AC vents, etc. The 400-litres of boot space will allow its users to carry at 3-4 large suitcases.
