Hyundai Motors today revealed the much awaited Grand i10, and now officially confirmed the launch of the vehicle on September 3rd in the Indian car market. The vehicle will make its global debut at the 12th Frankfurt Motor Show, and even before its Frankfurt debut India will witness its launch here.
The Grand i10 will sit between the regular i10 and the i20 models. The vehicle will be launched both in the petrol and the diesel version, which is missing in the current generation i10. The Grand i10 will come up with various features including the first in class Rear AC vents. It will also feature electrically adjustable ORVMs, height adjustable driver seat, reversing camera and few more. It is also expected that Grand i10 will also feature some advanced safety features such as ABS and airbags. It also has a longer wheelbase than the regular i10, which makes it more spacious.
Hyundai Grand i10 engine options are 1.1-litre U2 Diesel and 1.2-litre Kappa petrol. The petrol engine is the same that also powers the existing i10 and i20. The company hasn’t revealed any pricing details of the Grand i10, but we expect it to be priced around Rs. 4.5-5 lakh. The new compact hatchback will compete against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Swift, Etios Liva and others.
