Honda, the Japanese auto maker has announced that the world premiere of its all-new concept SUV will take place at the 2015 Shanghai Motor Show. The company will also present other all-new models at the show, which is scheduled to be commenced on April 20.
The concept model was designed and developed jointly by Guangqi Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. and Dongfeng Honda Automobile Co. The concept previews the company new SUV, which is exclusively developed for the Chinese market. Other than the compact SUV, the company will also display the all-new City sedan and new CR-V SUV, which is equipped with new powertrain options.
Going by the pictures, it is visible that the compact SUV has sporty looks with aggressive creases, flared wheel arches, massive bumper and wide air dam. Upfront is the familiar Honda’s chrome grille, flanked by LED headlamps, and wide air dams and extra chrome. It has blackened A- and B-Pillar, while the slopping roofline gives it a coupe like profile.
It is early to comment whether the compact SUV will enter into production or not. Honda is also planning to launch a compact SUV for the Indian market, which is likely to be based on the Brio hatchback. The company is also working on a SUV based on the Jazz platform, which will be positioned below the Vezel or HR-V.
