Mitsubishi, the Japanese automaker has announced that it is working on an all-new MPV, which will compete against the likes of Maruti Ertiga and Honda Mobilio. The compact MPV will first go on sale in the Indonesian market in 2017.
Mitsubishi has also released a silhouette or the teaser image of the MPV under development. The image gives limited information about the side body along with the window line. If reports are to be believed, the MPV will be based on the Mitsubishi Concept AR which was showcased at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
The Mitsubishi MPV is currently under development, but the company’s has decided to launch the vehicle by August 2017. It is expected to get the 1.5-litre petrol engine. The company claims that the MPV will get sporty and tough looks along with upmarket interiors. The car will be spacious enough to accommodate seven adults. It is quite early to comment whether the compact MPV will make its way to Indian market or not. With the growing demand for affordable people carriers, we believe that the vehicle could be launched in the Indian market.
