The long-awaited Hero XPulse 200 and XPulse 200T motorcycles have finally been launched in the Indian market. While the former is an off-road adventure motorcycle, the Xpulse 200T is the road-based touring bike. Not just these 2 off-road motorcycles, Hero has also launched the Xtreme 200S fully-faired bike in India at Rs 98,500. The Hero XPulse 200 is available in carburetor and FI versions priced at Rs 97,000 and Rs 1.05 lakh respectively, while the Xpulse 200T is priced at Rs 94,000.

Powering the XPulse range is the single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 2-valve, air-cooled, 199.6cc engine that is capable of producing 18.3bhp of power and 17.1Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheel via a 5-speed gearbox.

The Hero XPulse 200 suspension mechanism comprises of telescopic front forks with 190mm travel and a monoshock unit at the rear with 170mm wheel travel. It rides on 21-inch front wheel and 18-inch rear wheel shod with off-road capable knobby tyres. The seat height stands at 825mm. On the other hand, the Xpulse 200T also gets telescopic and monoshock suspension units at the front and rear respectively. The Hero Xpulse 200T has 30mm lower ground clearance than the off-road version. This variant rides on 17-inch alloy wheels shod with 100/80-17 and 130/70-R17 tyres at the front and rear respectively. Both the motorcycles come equipped with single-channel ABS system as standard.

The Hero XPulse 200 and XPulse 200T comes equipped with digital speedometer with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation system. The motorcycles get LED head and tail-lights. The off-road adventure variant gets high-mounted exhaust, engine sump guard and knuckle guards. On the other hand, the Tourer gets ribbed seats, rear grip with bungee hooks and under-seat USB charger.
