Harley-Davidson is all set to introduce its most affordable motorcycle in the Chinese market. The new motorcycle is a parallel-twin streetbike, which is currently under development. The affordable motorcycle is co-developed by Harley Davidson and the China-based bikemaker Qianjiang.

Both the automakers have approved the final design of the motorcycle by ‘signing off’ publicly. The production of the motorcycle will be handled by Qianjiang. The company hasn’t released the pictures or teaser of the streetbike. However, the sketches were released by the Harley-Davidson back in June. The design of the upcoming 338cc parallel-twin motorcycle is heavily inspired by the Benelli 302S. The motorcycle share the trellis frame, motor, swingarm, suspension and braking components with the Benelli 302S.

The new 338cc parallel-twin engine derived from combining the 45.2mm stroke from the 302’s motor and a large 69mm bore from the 500cc twin unit that currently powers the TRK 502 and the Leoncino 500. Harley Davidson had announced to introduce a small displacement motorcycle in India. This motorcycle will be designed primarily to focus on the emerging Indian and Asian markets.

The new 338cc Streetbike is expected to be launched in the Chinese market by the end of 2020. It is expected that the motorcycle could arrive in our market by 2021.
