India’s Top 10 Most Searched Cars On Google In 2019

2019 has been quite an eventful year for the Indian automobile industry. It kicked off with 3 important launches of the year including Tata Harrier, new-generation Maruti Suzuki WagonR and Nissan Kicks, which is followed by a string of new models throughout the year. And like every year, Google India has released the list of the most searched or Googled cars of 2019.

It’s the Maruti Suzuki Baleno hatchback that topped the list. The company rolled the facelifed Baleno earlier this year, followed by its BS6 version in April, 2019. It’s Maruti Suzuki’s first BS6 compliant offering in the country.

The second spot is grabbed by the Hyundai Venue subcompact SUV. Launched in May 2019, the Venue has been attracting target buyers with its modern styling, premium interior, efficient powertrains and of-course the competitive pricing.

India’s third most googled car is the Toyota Fortuner. The Japanese carmaker introduced the new diesel vearsion of the Fortuner with updated interiors and added features. It was followed by the 2019 Toyota Fortuner TRD Celebratory Edition that commemorated 10 years of the SUV brand in India.

The MG Hector secured the fourth spot in the list of India’s most googled car of 2019. Since its launch, the premium 5-seater SUV has been leading its segment. It’s Mahindra’s XUV300 subcompact SUV that grabbed the fifth position.

The Kia Seltos that has been quite a sensation ever since its launch in August 2019, stood at 6th position. Currently, it’s one of the top-selling SUVs in the country. Honda’s iconic Civic sedan returned to India with a generation change in March, 2019. The executive sedan made quite a splash and managed to secure 7th spot in the list.

The 8th and 9th positions are grabbed by the new Renault Triber subcompact MPV and Hyundai Grand i10 hatchback. While the Triber is being favoured for its practicality and affordable pricing, the Grand i10 received a generation change as Hyundai Grand i10 Nios. And last but not the least is the Toyota Glanza that becomes the 10th most googled car of 2019.
