We have reported earlier that Ford India is planning to launch a special edition of its highly popular Endeavour SUV. Called the Ford Endeavour Sport Edition, the new model has started arriving at dealerships and its launch is likely to happen in coming weeks. In fact, unofficial bookings of the special edition have been commenced at a token sum of Rs 50,000. It will be based on the fully-loaded Titanium+ trim, and is expected to be priced slightly premium over the standard model that costs Rs 34.45 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Exterior design details of the Ford Endeavour Sport Edition have already been revealed in spy pictures. The model receives sporty black treatment on the radiator grille, fender vents, front and rear bumpers, ORVM housings, alloy wheels, roof rails, foot boards and tailgate inserts. The SUV’s new edition features ‘Sport’ badges on the rear doors and tailgate.
Recently, the interior pictures of the Endeavour’s special edition have emerged on the web. Its layout and features are exactly similar to the standard model. The Sport edition will come with all goodies offered on the Titanium+ variant including a panoramic sunroof, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, automatic day/night inside rear view mirror, ambient lighting, 8-way power adjustable driver and passenger seats, semi auto parallel park assist, power folding third row, one-touch up and down electric windows with anti pinch feature, front parking sensors, multiple airbags, hill descent control and terrain management system with four presets. Ford Endeavour Sport Edition is likely to come with the recently upgraded BS6 2.0L turbo diesel engine with a 10-speed automatic gearbox. The oil burner produces a peak power of 170PS and 420Nm of torque. The SUV comes with both 4X2 and 4X4 drivetrain system. Though, there is no clarity about the special edition.
