We have reported earlier that Ford India is planning to bring in a special edition of the Endeavour premium SUV. Called the 2020 Ford Endeavour Sport Edition, the model has started arriving at dealerships across the country. At present, Ford’s premium SUV comes in three variants – Titanium 4X2 AT, Titanium+ 4X2 AT and Titanium+ 4X4 AT. There is no confirmation whether the special model will be offered on all trims or a select one. Featuring sporty black treatment, the 2020 Ford Endeavour Sport Edition might be slightly more expensive than the existing variants.
The Endeavour’s special edition seems inspired by the Everest Sport that’s already retailed in the Australian market. As you can see in pictures, the model features all-blacked grille and blackened out lower bumper at the front end. The all black alloy wheels and black ORVMs with inserts enhance its side profile. Interior details are still under the wraps. Though, we expect that the black treatment will continue inside the cabin as well. Similar to the Everest Sport, the Endeavour’s new special edition might get black leather seats with blue stitching on the dashboard, steering wheel, door cards and seats.
The list of features will include multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, electronic stability control, cruise control with adjustable speed limiter, rain sensing wipers, rear view camera with active guidelines, keyless entry, infotainment system with SYNC3 system and Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Bluetooth connectivity and more.
No changes are likely to be made under the hood. The 2020 Ford Endeavour Sport Edition is likely to come with the new 2.0L diesel engine that’s good enough for 170bhp and 420Nm. Transmission duties will be done by the same 10-speed automatic gearbox.
