Japanese automaker, Honda has released the information about the products to be showcased at the Beijing International Automotive Show, the Beijing 2020 Salon. This event is scheduled to happen between September 26 and October 5 in China.
The company has revealed that the Beijing 2020 Salon will mark the debut of an unprecedented concept that will preview the brand’s first mass-produced electric car for the global markets. The electric car will be launched initially in China. Honda has also released the new teaser image, which reveals stylish LED headlamps interconnected by a strip of LED light. The LED strip accommodates a large illuminated Honda logo. Other styling cues include LED fog lamps, sculpted bonnet with sharp creases, and multi-spoke alloys.
It is hard to reveal the body type of the upcoming Honda electric car by just looking at the teaser. This could be a sedan or a crossover coupe. The new model will also present the brand’s new design philosophy, which will be completely different from the existing theme.
Apart from the electric car concept, Honda will showcase a new CR-V Sport Hybrid e + with a plug-in hybrid system. The company will also present high-performance electrified vehicles with powertrains include hybrid, plug-in hybrid and pure electric. The Acura booth will showcase various mass-production models while Honda motorcycle booth will mainly exhibit Honda’s FUN motorcycle models.
