Ford India has introduced a special edition of its popular compact SUV – EcoSport. Called the Ford EcoSport Platinum Edition, this new model comes loaded with several comfort and connectivity features. Besides this, the Platinum edition gets a few cosmetic upgrades.
Available with both petrol and diesel engine options, the Ford EcoSport Platinum Edition has been priced at Rs 10.39 lakh and Rs 10.69 lakh (all ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively. With dual-tone shade and a black roof, the Ford EcoSport Platinum Edition looks quite sporty. Ditching the regular 15-inch alloys, this special edition comes with newly-designed 17-inch alloy wheels and wider tyres. What add more to its appearance are appliqués on the front and rear bumpers. Inside, there is an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that enables user to control video and music playback.
Other key features include satellite navigation system, rear view camera and cruise control. Ford India has also offered six airbags as standard on the EcoSport Platinum edition. This special edition is available with two powertrains – a 1.5-litre diesel and 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol – producing 98.59bhp with 205Nm and 110.4bhp with 140Nm respectively.
