As mentioned earlier, the Linea 125 S is a more powerful version of the sedan with a maximum power output of 125PS (123bhp). This makes it the most powerful sedan in its segment. Power for the vehicle comes from a a 1.4-litre Turbocharged T-Jet petrol unit that comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. In addition to the more powerful engine, the Linea 125 S also gets a 5-inch multi-functional touchscreen screen infotainment with navigation, ambient lighting, disc bakes on all four wheels, dual stage driver airbag and rear sun curtain.
Similar to the regular Linea model, the 125 S continues to be the longest sedan in its segment with 4596mm length. It also offers the best-in-class ground clearance of 190mm and a 500-litre boot.
The Punto EVO PowerTech and Avventura PowerTech too now get more powerful engines. Though both the vehicles continue to feature the same 1.3-litre Mulijet diesel unit, it has been tuned to deliver extra power. It now churns out a maximum power output of 93PS (92bhp). These two cars also get a 5-inch multi-functional touch-screen infotainment system with navigation across all variants.
Flynn added, “Though our strengths are performance and visual aesthetics, we do recognise the necessity of fuel efficiency, and our engines have been tuned to uncompromisingly deliver on that front. Over the years our cars have transformed customers into enthusiasts and that is because we build products that make their commute more delightful and safe instead of one that is merely functional.”
