TVS Motor Company today rolled out the 2020 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and 2020 TVS Apache RTR 200 4V in the country. Both models received BS6-compliant engine along with a new LED headlamp and GTT (Glide Through Traffic) riding mode.

The 2020 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V comes in two variants – Drum and Disc – priced at Rs 99,950 and Rs 1.03 lakh respectively. The 2020 TVS Apache RTR 200 4V has been made available at Rs 1.24 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.

Compared to the old BS4 version, the BS6 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V disc variant is around Rs 3,000 more expensive. The drum variant, on the other hand, gets fuel injection technology that makes it around Rs 8,000 pricier than the old carburettor model. Price of the BS6 TVS Apache RTR 200 4V has been increased by Rs 10,000.

As mentioned above, the 2020 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and 2020 TVS Apache RTR 200 4V get a new low-speed riding mode called GTT. It’s claimed to provide controlled and smooth riding experience. Both bikes also come with a new LED headlight, newly-designed mirrors and a ‘feather touch’ start.

Powering the 2020 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V is the BS6-compliant 159.7cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine that’s tuned for generating power worth 16.02PS and 14.12Nm of torque. That means, the BS6 version is slightly less powerful and torquier than the old BS4 model.

The 2020 TVS Apache RTR 200 4V sources its power from the BS6-ready 197.75cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine paired to a 5-speed gearbox. It makes a maximum power of 20.5PS, which is equivalent to its BS4 version. The torque figure, however, has been marginally reduced to 16.80Nm.
