The BMW G310 R and G 310 GS are powered by the same 313cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that also powers the TVS Apache RR 310.

BMW Motorrad India has officially announced that the long-awaited motorcycles – the BMW G 310 R and the BMW G 310 GS – will be launched in the country on July 18, 2018. Bookings for the motorcycles have already commenced and deliveries will be done on a first come first serve basis as per orders. Interested buyers can pre-book these motorcycles at any authorised BMW Motorrad dealerships across the country at an initial token amount of Rs 50,000.

Both the motorcycles will be sold and serviced through the premium dealer network of BMW Motorrad. The company currently present in important cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Bangalore, Ahmedabad and Kochi. Kolkata and Chandigarh will soon have BMW Motorrad dealerships, which will also start accepting bookings after the launch of motorcycles.

TVS and BMW together develop these two new motorcycles. The Apache RR 310 fully-faired motorcycle is also based on the G310 R naked sibling platform. The Apache RR 310 is already on sale in India and is currently the top-selling model in its category. For people not in the know, BMW had unveiled the G 310 R streetfighter and G 310 GS adventure motorcycle at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo.

The BMW G310 R and G 310 GS are powered by the same 313cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that also powers the TVS Apache RR 310. This engine churns out a maximum power output of 34bhp at 9,500rpm and a peak torque of 28Nm at 7,500rpm. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a 6-speed gearbox.

Both the motorcycles get tubular steel frames, five-spoke alloy wheels and ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) as standard. While the naked streetfighter weighs 158kg, the G310 GS adventure bike has a kerb weight of 169.5kg.
